Thank you for visiting my site.  Whether you are an artist or producer looking for a drummer for your next project, or an old musician-friend coming by to say hello, or just someone who came upon this site by accident, I'm glad you're here, and I hope to hear from you.

I am a versatile drummer with extensive [I won't say how many years] experience in live performance and studio recording in a variety of styles.  I have a strong jazz background (straight-ahead, bebop and contemporary) as well as passion and experience in Rock, R&B and Pop music.

My formal training includes many years of private instruction, as well as high school and university music programs, which have included coaching sessions with legendary musicians.  I have had the privilege of studying for a period with the great jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell.

My jazz experience serves me well in performing Rock and Alternative music styles, as it has taught me a sensitivity and emotion in my playing.  Through dynamics and feel, I strive to bring out the emotion in an artist's music, while also laying down a solid groove.

I am originally from the San Francisco area.  I spent several years working in Santa Barbara, and landed in the great city of Los Angeles about 10  years ago.  My experience in LA has been great, having the opportunity to work on such a wide range of projects. Some examples of these are listed below.
